Condolence: My deepest sympathy to Andrew and Leah and all the family. Dixie was my third cousin, and we became good friends as teens at family reunions. Although we went our separate ways in our separate countries, after we became adults we got together along with my brother Bill every summer when we came up to Rideau Ferry. And then when Leah moved to New York, I got to see her a few extra times when she came here. She was such a kind, caring, smart, somewhat reserved but also fun and adventurous friend and cousin. I am exactly her age and horrified by this early death, but I know she went straight up!
She is missed by both my brother and me and will never be forgotten. We are so sorry for the entire extended family’s loss. Dianne Devitt
Condolence: My heartfelt condolences to Dixie's family. I worked with Dixie at various schools during my time at the Upper Canada School Board. She was such a pleasure to be with and so dedicated to the students in her care.

Condolence: Andrew and Leah, our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Your mother was a big part of influencing who you have become and you are both independent, kind and loving people. We are glad to be a part of your extended family.

Condolence: Our deepest sympathy to all the families on the sudden passing of such a truly wonderful Mother, Grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew and loved her. A kind and gentle soul. You are in our thoughts and prayers.💖
Condolence: I was very sorry to hear of Dixie’s passing. We were in the same yoga class off and on for many years and I always enjoyed her sweet energy. I will miss that when the fall session begins again and always remember her. Love to you all.
