Stan Blair, Licenced Director

Stan joined the staff in 1963, working after school and then university. After graduation in 1968 from University of Western Ontario, Stan became a third generation family member to operate the funeral home. Stan is married to Heather, and they have three sons, two of which have joined as fourth generation members. Since 1968 Stan has been actively involved in the operation of the funeral homes in Smiths Falls, Perth, and Lanark. Stan is an active member of the Perth Rotary Club and has served as an advisor on many area charitable organizations.

Stewart joined the staff in 1965, working after and later in college. After graduation from Loyalist College in 1970, Stewart also joined as a third generation member. Stewart is married to Donna. In partnership with Stan, Stewart is also involved in the operation of the three locations. Stewart is currently an active member of the Smiths Falls Rotary Club. Stewart has also been instrumental in the creation of an annual Blair & Son golf tournament which raises money to assist physically challenged children attending Camp Merrywood on the Rideau.

Stephen joined the staff in 1998 as a fourth generation family member. Earlier, Stephen worked summers at the funeral home while attending high school in Smiths Falls, and later during his time at the University of Western Ontario. Following graduation at university Stephen entered the funeral service program, receiving his funeral license in 1998.  He has been quite involved in a number of Palliative Care initiatives in Lanark, Leeds and Grenville and is an active member of the Perth Jaycees service club which focuses on youth development in our communities.

Scott joined the firm in March of 2006 after a successful career as a licensed funeral director in Toronto. Earlier while attending Loyalist College, Scott spent summers working at the funeral home as a student. Following graduation from Loyalist College in 2000, Scott entered the funeral service program and graduated in 2002. After three successful years in Toronto, Scott has returned to his home area and family firm.

Dawn Rodger, Licenced Director

Dawn joined the Blair & Son team in 2005.  She works on a part-time basis assisting families and helping our team in many capacities.  Dawn and her husband Brent have two children Delaney and Gabriele.  We are very pleased to have Dawn available when called upon to assist families in their time of need.

Robyn Chalmer, Financial Administrator

Robyn joined our team in May 2010 as our financial administrator for both the funeral home and the furniture store. Robyn and her family have lived in this area since 1998.

Terry St. Pierre, Funeral Director's Assistant

After retiring from the communications centre for the O.P.P. in Perth Terry joined our staff. On May 8th, 2008 Terry has been with us for 20 years. Terry takes care of our out town transfers and assists on many funerals.  Terry enjoys the outdoors, and is an avid hunter.


Colleen Porter, Office Administration

Colleen joined us July 2012, taking on the responsibility of office administration for our Smiths Falls office.  As an art major in college Colleen also brings an expert eye to our graphic designs for our personalization products that we offer families. Colleen is a Smiths Falls Civitan Member with her husband Claire Porter.


Wayne Kearns, Funeral Director's Assistant

After retiring from the Rideau  Regional Wayne  joined our staff in September of 2010. Wayne  takes care of our out town transfers and assists on many funerals.  Wayne enjoys golf, and time with his family.


Fred Knapp, Funeral Director's Assistant

Fred joined our staff in 2009. We are proud to have Fred join our staff. Fred takes care of our out town transfers and assists on many funerals. Fred is very active in his community of Elizabethtown-Kitley Twp. working on many volunteer projects and is a member of the Toledo United Church.


Armand Fournier, Building Maintenance

Armand joined us in February 2012 as building maintenance. Armand brings a wealth of knowledge from his home improvement business which he has operated for 25 years.


Joan Adam, Office Administration

Joan has been a member of the organization since 2002 where she assists in both the administrative and business office.  Joan also assists with various funeral-related duties including assisting with taking memorial donations and assisting at services.


Hilda Sproule, Receptionist

Hilda joined the firm over 16 years ago and assists with preparation for visitation, and receiving memorial donations on behalf of the families we serve.  Hilda is well-known in the Perth and Lanark Communities where she volunteers her time to many local charities and groups and enjoys time out on the golf course.


Florence Doran, Reception Hostess

Florence joined the firm in 2003; she is involved with the preparation and presentation of many post-funeral gatherings in our reception centre at the Perth Chapel.  Florence also devotes many hours to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 244 located in Perth.


Ann Buchanan, Receptionist


Mae Craig, Receptionist

Mae joined the firm in 1974.  She looks after not only reception duties at the Lanark Chapel but oversees building and ground maintenance.  Mae and her husband George have been long-time residents of Lanark.  She has been actively involved in many volunteer projects in Lanark and Perth including Branch # 244 Legion Ladies Aux. and colour party in Perth.


Valerie Conboy, Reception Hostess

Valerie became a member of our organization in 2005; with the inception of the Blair & Son Family Centre, Valerie takes care of the preparation and presentation of many post-funeral gatherings.  Valerie is actively involved with the Perth Fair and Fair Board as well as various agricultural programs and initiatives in Lanark County.    

Donna Cadeau, Reception Hostess

Donna joined our team in November of 2009, after working for the Unity Savings Credit Union for 18 years.  Donna's primary role is assisting with visitation and taking memorial donations for many local charities.  Donna loves spending time with her family traveling and golfing.

Nancy Bennett, Reception Hostess

Nancy joined our team in 2012 after retiring from 33 years in the flora industry. Nancy was born and raised in Smiths Falls. Nancy and her husband Hugh are active members at St. John's Anglican Church Smiths Falls, where Nancy teaches Sunday School.

Heather Bovington, Reception Hostess

Heather was born and raised in Perth. Heather attended both Queen Elizabeth School and Perth and District Collegiate institute while growing up. Heather is married to Mark Bovington and has three children. Staying at home to raise her children and helping with the care of  other peoples children kept Heather busy for over twenty years. Heather's primary role is assisting with visitation and taking memorial donations for many local charities and occasionally assisting in our reception centre.

Brenda Watson, Office Administration

Brenda joined our team in 2012 to help part time with office administration after she retied from her many years of service with the Perth Courier. Brenda and her husband Marty enjoy spending time with their family, gardening, hunting and fishing.  Brenda also spends her time working with the residents at Perth Community Care.

Debbie Hamilton, Building Maintenance

Debbie is also responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of our Smiths Falls facility. Debbie has a very full schedule with her cleaning business and raising two teenage sons at home.
