It is with sadness that I read of Gary's passing.I met Gary in the late 80s when I was at MDS. Over the course of a year or so, Gary selflessly gave his time to "take me under his wing" to help me make sense out of where I was going in my business career. Oftentimes gruff and brutally honest but always encouraging, he caused me to focus on what I wanted/needed in a job. When the opportunity arose to be a part owner of the firm where I am at now, my work with Gary helped me make the right decision to move and since then I haven't looked back. Gary was happy and supportive of my career decision and we stayed in contact but, over the years, lost touch. I always tell people about Gary and that how I ended up where I am is due in no small part to Gary's help and mentoring. I was lucky to have met Gary as I am sure that most others who knew him would agree. He will always be a fond part of my memory. The world is a poorer place without him. Regards, Geoff Miller
