My deepest condolences to Dale, Kristofer, Laura and family. While Patricia was Principal at Duncan J. Schoular Elementary I was working with Smiths Falls Police and was the School Liaison Officer. Working together to support the children and their families was our shared goal. We developed a friendship that extended beyond our working relationship. I had the pleasure of meeting her father, and her sister Catharine. In later years we would meet for lunch and catch up on shared family updates. Patricia was a kindhearted professional; an advocate for children and their well-being; a supporter of the community; though above all else she proudly loved her family. My sympathies to Dale and family, I first met Patti when she was the principal at DJ in Smiths Falls, and I was hired as an E.A. Patti then became a volunteer with the Lanark County Community Justice Program, and I believe talked Dale into being a volunteer as well. Very caring couple, that I admired immensely. So sorry for your loss Dale.

To Patti’s family, I am so saddened to hear about Patti’s passing. She was a grand lady when we attended pool aerobics in WWS. There were some mornings when it was cooler and she and I would be the only ones there and she would say we were the hardy Canucks, as I was from Nfld. Alas, there were some mornings when I was not the hardy one who braved the cold but Patti would be there. My deepest condolences to you all and may her gentle soul rest in peace.
