We met Sue and Dave in Atlanta around 1995. Dave was always fun to be around as he made sure everyone had a good time in his presence. We moved home to Texas at the end of 1998. Dave has kept in touch with us for all these years. His emails and jokes were the absolute BEST. He will be greatly missed by us. Our love and prayers go out to Sue and their children. I'm sure he's entertaining all in heaven. Much love to the Sanderson Family. RIP, Dave, you were one of a kind. We are better ... for having known you!!! Wanda & Ron Benge

Sending so much love to my favorite Canadians at this sad, sad time. Mr. Sanderson was one of a kind, and I know he infused a lot of love into the world and into his family. Jeff, Jen, Mrs. Sanderson — just know that the old Dunwoody High School crew is thinking of you. Much love, Amanda (Loverde) Dobbs

Sending all of my love to Sue, Jeff and Jennifer (and their families). Dave was an incredibly special human being. He had such a wonderful sense of humour and always knew how to make everyone in the room feel comfortable and welcome. May your happy memories of times spent together give all of you some peace at this difficult time. With much love, Mary Hodgson xo

It was with deep sadness that we heard of Dave's passing. Linda and I met Dave and Sue in 1993 when we moved to Atlanta. Dave was a force to be reckoned with. He got us involved in lots of local activities. These included trips to Blind Willy's Blues Club, The Varsity for burgers and social events such as "Tacky Tourist" and "Formal Western" (see photos). Dave aka "Buford Doofus" was our children's favourite, taking them to Coca Cola Super Bowl events and entertaining them with his unique sense of humour. I was a long time recipient of Dave's emails some of which had the warning "Do not open attachment in a public place or at work". We last saw Dave 2 years ago and he looked great and was enjoying his time spent in Florida and Ontario. Dave and I talked about his time teaching at Georgian College. What I remember most were the words he put on his whiteboard at the beginning of each new session. To be successful in this course: 1) Show up for class 2) Do the assignments 3) Participate in discussions We think Dave epitomized this in his life which was full of fun, laughter and love. We will miss you Dave Linda and Doug Reid

I never met Dave in person though we often chatted on the web and via email. I am sorry for your loss and wish you to know he was well liked in the places we frequented. I will miss him. Take care. BCF
