McNamee, Mary B. (McAdam)
On Thursday, April 17, 2025 in the Perth Hospital our beautiful mother, Mary (McAdam) McNamee was reunited with the love of her life Pete, and her three oldest children Mike, Mary Anne and Janis. Mom was also so very proud of her three youngest daughters, Diane (Rob) Corbett, Patti Lyn (Paul) Cheesman and Lisa (Liz Harrison) Adams. Mom will be deeply missed by her daughter-in-law Vance Tilton (Mike); son-in-law Dean Nicholson (Mary Anne), 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, her only brother Don (Gail) McAdam; brothers-in-law Pete (Germaine) Vanderklok; John (Darlene) McNamee; sister-in-law Mary (Allen) McNamee and many nieces and nephews. Mom had a very special place in her heart for Dan Adams. Our witty, strong, creative mom inspired us with her unwavering strength and courage. Everyone who encountered her always knew they had met someone amazing. Mom enjoyed a beautiful retirement with our dad, traveling all over the world and living her best life in Florida during the winter months for many years. We would like to thank Dr Brooks, Susan, Randolph, Cathy, Mike, Hilka, Sarah and Barb, who all supported and loved mom throughout her journey. A heartfelt thanks goes out to the 2nd floor nursing team at the Perth hospital. Mom was treated with so much respect, dignity and humour and they ensured that we girls were supported so beautifully over the past three weeks. To Liz and Vance, our "other" sisters, our undying love for being there through the tears, the belly laughs, and the hugs.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday April 23rd, 2025 at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth for a service to be held in the chapel at 1:30 P.M. A reception and sharing of memories will follow the service in the Blair & Son Family Centre. The interment will be in St. Bridget’s Cemetery, Stanleyville. Memorial donations in memory of Mary to either the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation (Perth site for Palliative Care) or Tayside Community Options (Brady House) would be appreciated.
