Stephen, Evalyn 'Pat' Peacefully in hospital in Perth, surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 26th, 2010 Evalyn 'Pat' (Dodds) Stephen. Pat was predeceased in 1955 by her infant daughter, Diane and in 1978 by her beloved husband, Andy and in 2006, her infant great granddaughter Audrey. She was the cherished mother of Anne (Peter) Harris of Spanish, Ontario, Janet (Jack) Denovan of Carleton Place and John of Desert Lake; caring grandmother of Carly (Michael) Cleverdon of Cobourg, Melissa (Sean) Lonergan of Napanee and Robb (Kirsty) Denovan of San Francisco, Kyle (Amanda) Denovan of Toronto, Kayla Stephen of Kingston, and Shiloh Stephen of Desert Lake. Treasured great grandmother of Meara, Rhett and Naomi Cleverdon of Cobourg. Pat was predeceased by two brothers Hank and Dave Dodds and sister Viola Dodds. Pat was very close to friends, Kaye, Diana and Joan and sister-in-law, Shirley. Pat was born in Ottawa and completed her nursing training at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. She later had a lengthy career with the Children's' Aid Society. Pat enjoyed her involvement with the St. Paul's United Church and had a passion for literature and nature. Her happiest times were spent at family gatherings. Her family will miss her wit, her imagination and her loving spirit. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Sunday, January 31st, 2010 from 1 to 3 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 11:00 A.M. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery. In remembrance, contributions to a Haitian relief fund would be appreciated by the family.
