Clarence always said that two big things happened in 1912, the Titanic and his birth. However, the memories Clarence leaves behind are bigger and better than the Titanic ever was. We'll all miss you!

Saddened by the news of Clarence's passing but joyed by the fact he lived a wonderful life. Clarence was on the volunteer fire department in Smiths Falls with my father. I worked with Dot at Styles Grocery on Market street for many years. Later in Toronto when I was a broadcaster at CFRB radio I read newscasts with Wayne Van Exan on his Owls Nest show. Wayne, also a Smiths Falls boy, was Clarence's nephew. Small world, 6 degrees of separation they say. Always felt he was keeping an eye on me one way or the other. Clarence was a class act and above all a real gentleman. They don't make them like that anymore. He will be missed.
