Dear Isobel, Heather, Brenda and families: Our sincere condolences to you on Alvin’s passing. Alvin was such a dear friend to our father, Stan. Dad so enjoyed Alvin’s company while hunting, snowmobiling and socializing. Alvin went above and beyond the call of duty to help us with our various car problems at any time of the night or day. Isobel, Heather and Brenda, I'm sorry to hear the passing of Alvin. An avid member/church goer of St.Paul's for many years, I first met Alvin when the church had the stewards committee in the 1990's and Alvin was responsible for maintaining the old cemetery on Robinson Street. He maintained it for years never complaining about the upkeep and gladly gave the committee a report at every session. It wasn't until later that I got to know Alvin better after church services when we went to his favorite eating place, the Perth Restaurant. Isobel and Alvin would always talk about their kids, grandkids and their own livelihood during the time there and it was a weekly tradition for many years. I also had the privilege of visiting Alvin when he was unable to attend church and he would always ask what's happening in general and kindly give me an update about his own health and well-being. These were the fond memories that I'll always remember being with the Paul's and I know that God has found him his favorite resting place. Sympathies to you and the rest of the family.
