I remember Elsbe first when she and Frank delivered wood to my new home on Miner's Pt. Rd. when I arrived there in 2000. Later I got to know her as a friend and neighbour. She had a beautiful home on the farm, and she was an amazing cook. I remember especially her German cream cakes of various flavours. Elsbe could have been a professional baker, had she not been a farmer! She also had a lively sense of humour and was always a good neighbour. My condolences to Frank, their sons and grandchildren.

Such a great loss, I enjoyed every visit to your place. Always a fresh pot of coffee and who could resist a piece of Elsbe's torte ! Those are my special memories I am left with. Forever in my heart.
