

Obituary of John Roland Tysick
With profound sadness, the family of Bud Tysick announce his passing with family by his side, on January 28th, 2025, at the age of 88. He was predeceased by his loving wife, of 63 years, Irene (Norwood). Adored father of Pamela (Dwight Popplewell), Kelly, Terry (Janet), Sherry (Ronnie Paul). Cherished Pop, Gramps, Grandpa to Jamie, Josh, Erin, Jena (Justin Boisvert), Rudi (Tyler Duncan), Candice (Ryan Love), Bailey, Kylie (Kyle Olson). Pop, Great Poppa of Madison, Mayson, Greyson, Cruz, Jack, Axle, Zoey and Anna. Bud will be fondly remembered by his siblings Sandra (late Ken Shiel), Elly (Elva), Dale (Pauline), Marlene (late Willie Toner), Linda (Bill Closs), Garry (Joan), Bryan (Karmel). He was predeceased by siblings Herb (Shirley) and Jeannie Squires. Bud will be greatly missed by the Norwood family and his many nieces and nephews. John, always known as Bud, was born to Daniel and Dorothy Tysick, on December 30, 1936, in a log cabin on Althorpe Road. He was a talented stone mason who freely shared his knowledge with all who worked with him. After retiring, Bud enjoyed spending time in his garden where he was known for having the most beautiful flowers.
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth on Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Monday February 3rd, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. Interment St. Johns Cemetery followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Reception Centre.
The family wishes to thank all the Bayshore personal support workers and Kim Jardine for their wonderful care and support over the past year and a half. Also, thanks to the 2nd floor nursing staff at the Perth hospital. In honour of Bud, memorial contributions to the Ontario Wildlife Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
