Apologies for the late sending of my condolences; I've been caregiving my aged mother. Was surprised to read of Pat's passing. It was my wish to move to Perth so while viewing properties a couple of years ago, I met Pat while walking my dog. I kept in touch with her via a visit & emails, and I attended Jack's service. I was so looking forward to spending more time with her in Perth but ended up buying in Carleton Place. What a lovely person; so glad I met her.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to see Pat's obituary on Saturday. Our relationship goes back to circa 1970's when we both worked at the Public Service Alliance of Canada.. She was such a lovely person. We shared so many laughs. We lost contact when she moved to the Mississippi and then into Perth. A mutual friend also moved to that area and we were able to rekindle our friendship when four of we PSAC gals would meet in Ottawa for lunch every few months. I would visit with Pat in Perth when attending the Music Festival every year and share a Bailey's and a few chuckles. She was so easy to be with. I will cherish the photo we had taken of us last summer. Last contact was during the Christmas season and I wasn't aware of anything amiss. Sadly, I am missing her so much already. Rest in Peace dear Pat in the arms of your loving husband Jack whom you loved so much.
