It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stanley Fredrick Snow, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, who peacefully left this world in his sleep on February 5, 2025, his 83rd birthday. Born on February 5, 1942, in Perth, Stanley spent his whole life in the town he cherished and loved so dearly.
Stanley was the son of Harold and Delina Snow, who instilled in him the values of hard work, community, and kindness. These principles guided him throughout his life, from his early years to his role as a devoted husband and father. Stanley married the love of his life, Margaret Nagle, on May 15, 1965, and together they built a life filled with laughter and cherished memories. He is preceded in death by his wife Marg, as well as his beloved sisters, Sheila and Joyce, who will surely be waiting for him with open arms. Stanley was a proud father to his daughter, Heather (Alex) Douglas, and a cherished stepfather to Jamie (Anne) Nagle. He leaves behind a legacy that includes his loving sister, Harriet Riddell, his brother, Bert (Barbara) Snow, and a host of adoring grandchildren, including Dustin Snow, Natasha Nagle, and Mathew Nagle. Stanley was also a proud great-grandfather, and he will be deeply missed by Brooklynn, Madalynn, and Matteo, who brought him immense joy and laughter. Stanley was known for his warm smile, captivating storytelling, and his ability to make friends wherever he went.
He worked at Ronway Lumber for many years, where he forged lasting friendships and connections with those around him. His love for his community was palpable, and he always made time to lend a hand. In addition to his dedication to family and work, Stanley was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. However, his true passion lay in the world of C.B. radio. Known affectionately as "The Ambassador," Stanley would engage in hours of lively conversation with his buddies, showcasing his gift of gab and his unparalleled ability to connect with others. His love for country and fiddle music resonated through the air, and his friends could hear him coming from miles away, music blaring from the windows of his vehicle.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating a life that was vibrant, full of love, and rich with stories that will continue to be told in his memory on Saturday, March 15, 2025 begining at 1:00pm at Blair and Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth.
