It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Romalda Park at the Perth Hospital on February 21st, 2025. She was the devoted wife of the late Clair Park and she will be missed terribly by her children, Kim (Mark) Dowdall and John (Kayla) Park, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Avery Jean-Louis (Kevin), Alex Dowdall, Alexander, Jack, and Grant Park. She is survived by her sister, Dorene Kelsey (Terry), her brother, Ralph Lowery (Beth), and her sister, Marilyn Mallett, as well as her sister-in-law, Theresa Lowery. Romalda admired her nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She had a special relationship with her nieces Emily Mallett and Brenda Dawson whom she spent a lot of time with. Romalda was predeceased by her parents, William John Lowery and Emma Lowery, her brother, William Lowery, her brother-in-law, Art Park (Keitha), and her sister-in-law, Floris Dawson (Lionel).
Romalda had many friends, all of whom she loved deeply. She had a special place in her heart for her card and craft ladies, her Pinehill family, friends from the Shopping Van, her frequent Visits with Fran, and her sincere friend, Gloria, with whom she shared many adventures. Gloria will miss her partner riding shotgun!
Romalda was a member of the Lanark Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 395 for 31 years, serving as president for many of them. She thoroughly enjoyed serving the community at the Lanark Highlands Public Library for over 35 years.
A celebration of life for Romalda will be held at the Lanark Legion 69 George St. Lanark, on Sunday, April 6th, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Everyone is welcome to drop in to share fond stories and memories. In honour of her, memorial contributions to the Lanark Library would be greatly appreciated.
Romalda's family would like to Thank Dr. Simpson and his team and Ahmed, Tara and his staff of The Lanark Pharmacy for taking such good care of her. Also a huge Thank you to The Lanark County Paramedics for trying so hard to save her!
