March 11th, 1951 - February 26th, 2025
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Leo Patrick Hermer at the age of 73 years at his home on February 26, 2025. Leo was born at Ardoch Ontario, son of the late Charlie and Evangeline Hermer. He leaves behind his loving partner of 35 years, Janice Bron. Leo is survived by three sons Dwayne and Eric Hermer and Joey Kean. He will be deeply missed by stepdaughter Janna Bron, step grandchildren Carlie and Justin Bron, Kobie Murphy and Lucas Maskell and step great grandchildren Carter Thompson Bron and Olive Nash. He was predeceased by step son Jason Bron and step great granddaughter Astrella Murphy. Leo is survived by his siblings Roger (Karen) Hermer, Ken (Orlanda) Hermer, Norman (Donna) Hermer, Muriel (Jim) McDonald), Sharon (Bradley) Mieske and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Chuck (Marilyn) Hermer, sisters Elva (Joe) Shanks and Mary. Leo was a long-time employee at CBM Perth Ontario working both in the plant and as a cement truck driver, this was his life. He loved his family time get togethers especially at the farm in Sharbot Lake. This also included making the JLG trail, welding the kids four wheelers when they broke or taking them gas when they ran out. He loved travelling and moose hunting. Leo enjoyed his home, feeding and watching the birds on the deck and country music. If something was broken it was no problem, Leo could fix it.
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth on Tuesday March 4th, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday March 5th, , 2025 at 10:00 AM followed by a light luncheon. In lieu of flowers donations to the Lanark Food Bank would be appreciated. Those we love never truly leave us. They live on in the memories we made, the laughter they gave, and the love they brought into our lives.
