John was blessed with a gift in woodwork, creating some of the most beautiful & spectacular kitchens in his career. His passion for hunting & the outdoors was beyond measurable. Remembering the Uncle John I knew was always kind & happiest when speaking about his boys. I think that was the proudest feeling for him. I know he was filled with pride & admiration once his family grew with daughters & grandchildren. Having Star with him, you could see how happy she made him. May they both rest easy together. He spent many hours with his nephews, he & Rodney shared a close bond for many years that I can remember. He was always looking forward to the next hunting trip and spending time with those he loved.
Uncle John, you will be forever missed by us. Growing up Lisa & I both had the privilege of living with you at different times. You certainly were the fun Uncle. Always happy to take us for pizza or tell us about hunting stories. Lisa shared her story of how she made Uncle John lunch everyday when you worked at Laurysen Kitchens. Apparently, Uncle John had made the mistake of telling her he liked sardines, so that was his lunch for over a month. Finally, after hopes of her giving him something new, he told her - “please no more sardines”.
We will miss those posts on Facebook & our Prime Minister. Trying to right wrongs & standing up for what you believed.
He will be forever missed by his siblings Trudie, Linda, Susan, Ruth, Fay, Mike & Bev. He will be reunited in heaven with his Father Albert Brown, Mother Frances, his little brother Patrick, sisters Claire & Jean.
Our Métis heritage was something he, Shane & I chatted about, he was incredibly proud of knowing more about our family history.
He will forever have left a place to hold fondest memories in the hearts of his many nieces, nephews, family & friends.
Sending our deepest condolences to Jesse, Casey & Tyler & all who loved John.
