Jarbeau, John Bertrand 
December 7, 1942 - March 10, 2025

Petty Officer 2nd Class - United States Navy (Vietnam 1962-1966)

John passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10th, 2025 at Lanark Lodge with his family by his side.

He was predeceased on March 10th, 2023, by his best friend and beloved wife of 49 years, Maureen Jarbeau (Murphy) and was the loved and respected father of daughters Jacqueline and Jeanette, and son Joseph (Lisa). He was the cherished grandfather to Madeline and Caleb Empey and Ella and Avery Jarbeau.  John was the son of the late John Jarbeau and Eileen Cochrane (Ferrier). 

He will be sadly missed by his sister, Sterling Burke (Leo), brother-in-law Terry Murphy, and sister-in-law Linda Murphy, many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

John was a proud Canadian who served for the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, serving two tours of duty between 1962-1966. John also became a well-respected member of the Insurance industry becoming an Insurance Adjuster, Certified Fire Investigator, and Certified Fraud Investigator. 

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Lanark Lodge who looked after John. Thank you also to Dr. Kuchinad for his care, kindness, and compassion.

A private family service will take place at a later date. In remembrance of John, those wishing, are asked to consider a donation to the Perth Legion - Branch 244.
