Obituary of Rita Rice

Rice, Rosarita Kiana-Maie

It’s with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Rosarita Kiana-Maie Rice on March 16th 2025 at the age of 22. 

Born December 10th 2002 in Bourget Ontario, Rita was a loving soul and a cherished member of the community. She will be profoundly missed by her mother Tanya, father Michael, brothers Damien, Julian and Thalen and her dog Bellatrix. 

Rita was a shining light, her wild energy coupled with her unyielding love made her a fierce friend and family member. She lived her life to the fullest, and her chaotic nature made her insanely genuine and fun. She was frustratingly clever, outrageously funny, and cared to a fault. This made her an uplifting presence and someone who would always tell you the truth. She could light up a room without fail and always brought smiles to the faces of those in it. 

Rita strove to be a shelter for all. She was a force of nature, kind, gentle, and passionate. She had an exceptional eye for design and a love of gardening. An environmentalist at heart she loved nature and shone as a joyful burst of light and laughter. 

She will always be loved and live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. 

Friends are invited to join the family for a ceremony celebrating Rita's life at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Sunday, March 23rd, 2025 at 2:00pm in the chapel.
