Obituary of Grace Elizabeth Moyer
Grace Elizabeth Flaugh Baumgartner Moyer was a supportive parent, successful business manager, and lifelong participant in her community. She loved gardening and was an avid bridge player. Grace was born in Woodburn, Indiana. She married and started her family of three children in that area. After moving to Lansdale, Pennsylvania, Grace became very involved in amateur theatre where she met her second husband, Bill Moyer who had four children -- Doug, Jackie, Brian and Mark Moyer. Grace loved to sew Valentine and Birthday cards for all her friends and family, including her seven grandchildren -- Michael Baumgartner, Seth Jernigan, Jenny Lendrum, Rob Lendrum, Elizabeth Martin, Jonathan Martin, and MaryElise Martin. After Bill’s sudden death in 1995, Grace moved to Egremont, Massachusetts to live next to her oldest daughter Sandra Martin.
In the last years of her life, Grace’s main goal was to celebrate her 100th birthday which she achieved on September 8, 2024. Grace became a Canadian citizen in 2017 and died in her adopted country on Sunday, March 23, 2025, where she lived for 17 years with the support of her daughter Connie Lendrum and her son Tom Baumgartner.
Funeral services will be privately held. No flowers please. Memorial donations may be made in Grace’s name to ConnectWell Community Health, Lanark, or Hospice Hub, Perth. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth.
