Obituary of Gerri Conlon

The family of Geraldine "Gerri" Amy Conlon (née Butler) is deeply saddened to announce the passing of their beloved mother. Gerri was the cherished wife of the late Frances Conlon (1992) and a devoted mother to Anne (Pat), Patricia, and Mary-Jo (Jeff). She was a proud grandmother to Scott (Tracy), Megan, Erin (John), Emma (Adam), and Mary-Kate (Stefan), and a loving great-grandmother to Austin, Sophie, Kinley, Weston, Mila, Aubree, Leo, and Rowen. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Anne-Marie (1953), as well as her brother, Read Thomas, and sister-in-law, Mamie Thomas.

Gerri's early career was dedicated to nursing. She graduated from St. Michael's Hospital School of Nursing in Toronto in 1948 and spent several years working at Perth Hospital and Lanark Lodge. Gerri was an avid gardener with a natural green thumb, and cherished playing bridge with her friends. She lived life with a sparkle in her eye, a warm smile, and a heartfelt hug for everyone she welcomed.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the team at Lanark Lodge for their compassionate care and support during this challenging time.

Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth, on Friday, March 28th, 2025 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John's Catholic Church, 38 Wilson St. E. Perth on Saturday, March 29th, 2025 at 10:00am. Interment to follow at St. John's Parish Cemetery. In remembrance of Gerri, those wishing are asked to consider a donation to the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation or the MS Society of Canada.
