Obituary of Marion Rose Dalgleish

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Marion at home surrounded by family on Friday, March 28, 2025 at the age of 69.  Beloved wife for 42 years of Garry (Beep) Dalgleish.  Loved mother of Jayda (Brent) MacDonald and loved step-mother of Jason (Angela) Dalgleish.  Sadly missed by her grandchildren Jordyn and Blaire, Teegan, Danika and Jorja and her special companion Willy.  Dear sister of Rick (Anne) Plontz and sister-in-law of Wayne (the late Gwen) Dalgleish and Sandy (Clive) Brinkworth.  Predeceased by her parents Isabel and Percy Plontz.  Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many great friends.  Marion will be greatly missed by her friends and co-workers at Lanark County Mental Health and many families whose lives she touched throughout her entire career.  Special thanks to the Lanark County Paramedics, the doctors and nurses at the Ottawa Heart Institute, doctors and staff at the Smiths Falls hospital Med Surg Unit and the entire Homecare Nursing Team at SE Health for the care Marion received in hospital and the care she received in her weeks and final days at home.  Family and friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m.  Funeral Service will be held in chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery.  A reception will follow at the Kinsmen Pavillion, Lower Reach Park.  In memory of Marion, donations to the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation – MRI Campaign would be appreciated.
