Obituary of Brian Gerald Wright

BRIAN GERALD WRIGHT

July 28, 1942 – April 02, 2025

Brian left us on Wednesday, April 02, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family at the GWM Hospital in Perth. 

Brian and Rona (Chaplin) will be married for 60 years in October.  Brian’s family was his whole world to him, and we will miss him so much.

He is the father of much-loved daughters Angela and Chris Myers and Naomi and Bob Lavergne and granddaughter Victoria, whom he loved dearly, calling each other “Buddy”, two wonderful step-grandchildren Craig (Corinne) Lavergne and Jesse Lavergne, and our sweet great-grandson Lief.  Brian is survived by his sister Judy and brother-in-law John Townley of Arnprior and by sister-in-law Sheila Acheson (the late John Acheson) of Smiths Falls, many nieces and nephews.

Brian was employed for 38 years at Heritage Silversmiths, formerly International Silver, in Data Processing and as the Purchasing Manager, and then later at Perth Home Hardware.  Brian enjoyed happy family trips to Wasaga Beach, bus trips and family cruises.   We have so many happy memories as a family that we will have with us always.  We all love each other so much and as Brian said “always have always will”.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M. at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth.  The service will be held in the Chapel at 2:00 P.M. followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Reception Centre.  Interment will take place at a later date in Elmwood Cemetery.
