Obituary of Johanna Madeline Philepine Schokking

Passed away peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the age of 90. Cherished wife of the late Jan Schokking.  She was the beloved and respected mother of Ian (Debbie) Prince George, BC, Mark (Joanne) Ponoka, Alberta and Karen of Smiths Falls.  She will be sadly missed by grandchildren Ted, Willem, Ava, Asha, Matthew(Samatha), Melissa(Chad), Kally (Steve), Samantha (Onno), and Taylor. She'll further be missed by her great grandchildren Jazlyn, Jaxen (Melissa), Smith (Kally), Lilly, Nova and Eden (Samantha). Hanny is pre-deceased by her Sisters Erna (Briede) and Rose (Kunst) and her Brother Eugene Briede. Friends may pay their respects at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 11 a.m. until a sharing of memories at 12 noon in the Chapel.  Following the sharing of memories, all are welcome to join the family for a Memorial Mass taking place at St. Francis de Sales at 1 p.m.   Interment will follow at Maple Vale Cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Parkinsons' Society of Canada. Please note that a live webstream of the sharing of memories in the chapel will be available as well as a recording of Hanny's Funeral Mass will be available online following the service on Friday at 1 p.m.
