Obituary of Robert Bernard Boldt
Passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the age of 89. Beloved husband and best friend of more than 67 years to Delta (nee White). Loving and devoted father to Eleanor (Randy) Burman, Debbie (Jeff) Linton and John Boldt (Kristine Fair). Proud grandfather to Alan Burman (Nadine Lebel), Peter (Alexis) Burman, Andrew Linton (Robyn Hastie), Christopher (Natasha) Linton, Julia Boldt (Luke Kenney), Marshall (Elizabeth) Boldt, and step-grandfather to Caitlin Clemmens and Mitchell Clemmens (Bailey Saxon). Cherished great-grandfather to Wesley and George Burman, Fiona and Lachlan Linton-Hastie, Savannah Linton (Trevor Smith), Sahara and Maycie Linton. He will be fondly remembered by Delta’s brother and sister-in-law Edgar (Esther) White, his sister-in-law Naida (late Harold) Robinson, his family friend Marie Boldt, as well as his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bob is also predeceased by his parents Mac and Florence (nee McIntyre) Boldt, his mother and father-in-law John (Nancy) White, his sisters Edith (Bud) Smith, Lena (Sylvester) Windle, Jean (Graydon) Crogie, and Margaret (Bob) Griese and brothers, Ken (Rita) Boldt, Arnold (Lorna) Boldt and his sister-in-law Marion (Craig) Robertson. Bob has always had a love of cars both working on them for 23 years at C&B Motors and retiring from Vic Bennett Motors in 1997. His love showed with his own vehicles ensuring they were immaculate. During two special trips he was able to tour car museums and rhymed off makes and models and shared information about special features of the vehicles. Bob was always up for adventure travelling with family, friends or with hockey parents. One major tour was by truck/camper to Alaska and back in a month another cross country trip by car from Las Vegas to San Francisco where he crossed off a bucket list item walking the Golden Gate Bridge. He loved exploring with Delta and was always willing to share tales of their adventures. All are welcome to gather with the family at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls Chapel on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 12:00 o'clock. A reception will follow the service, and a private family interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Society, Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation, Westminster Presbyterian Church Smiths Falls.
