Obituary of Hans Kunibert von Rosen

On Thursday, April 24, 2025, Hans-Kunibert von Rosen passed away peacefully at the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital. Born in Poland in 1931, emigrating to Canada in 1954, Hans enjoyed a colourful career from farm hand, to lumberjack, to mining exploration and finally becoming a game warden. In 1960 he married Franziska Cardinal von Widdern. Together they raised three lively boys. Those who knew Hans will remember him best for his love of sailing, his dedication to conservation and his extensive knowledge of history. Hans-Kunibert is survived by his wife Franziska, his sons Kunibert, Douglas, and Eric, his six grandchildren and his two great grandchildren.

A private funeral will be held for close family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lanark County Foodbank. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth.
