Obituary of Connie McKay

Constance ‘Connie” McKay (nee Craig) 

April 25, 1949 - April 16, 2025.

Connie passed away peacefully in the morning hours of April 16, 2025 at the Lanark Lodge in Perth. Predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Mary (nee Somerville) Craig, her dearly missed sister Catherine ‘Cathy’ Rodger (Bruce). She was the beloved sister of Cynthia ‘Cyndy’ (Barry) Ferguson, and Candace ‘Candy’ (Walter) Yuill and forever friend Alice (Gene) Borrowman.

Loving mother to her son Bart and daughter Angela, and Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Active in the community she grew up in, even those who did not know her benefited from her care and creativity. Connie spent her life as a local hairdresser with a loyal clientelle that became her friends, baking for many years for the local store to the delight of many, and was always crafting something to brighten someones day. Nothing was more important to her than her family, spending time making memories and making them feel loved. Connie will live on in the memories of all those who knew and loved her and she will live on in our hearts always.

Her family would like to send their sincerest thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Lanark Lodge for the care and compassion they gave to Connie in the last months of her life.

In respect of our mothers wishes, there will only be a private family service at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
