Obituary of Caleb Daniel McGloin

Caleb Daniel McGloin died unexpectedly on Thursday May 8th , 2025 at the age 17. He was the son of Matthew (Teri) McGloin and Karine Vaillancourt all of Perth, ON.  Caleb was the funny one—quick-witted, full of life, and always ready with a smile. His intelligence was remarkable, and he excelled at anything he set his mind to. He had a passion for fishing, mastering the piano, and curating a collection of his favourite colognes. His bright smile and mischievous eyes will be deeply missed.  Besides his parents, he is survived by his two younger sisters, Mira Shea and Alice Marlene McGloin at home in Perth.  He is also survived by his Paternal Grandfather Mark (Donna) McGloin, Miramichi, NB; his paternal grandmother Marybeth MacArthur of Miramichi, NB; his maternal grandparents Dan and Lyne Vaillancourt of Almonte, ON; Teri’s parents, Blair (Annita) Dignam and Arlene Matthews of Miramichi, NB.  Caleb is also survived by his paternal Great-Grandmother, Joyce MacArthur of Miramichi, NB, Uncle Nicholas (Jenn) McGloin of Dalhousie, NB; his aunts Melissa (Rick Stymiest) McGloin of Miramichi; ON; Jody (Rick) Knowles, Jenn (Serge Savoie) Gregan of Miramichi; Marieve (Jordy Hasler) Vaillancourt of Beckwith. He is also survived by cousins Rose Sandra Lyne and Simon Daniel Wayne Hasler of Beckwith, ON; Mitchell (Zoe Lampropoulos) Skidd of Miramichi, NB; Mason and Elizabeth McGloin of Dalhousie, NB; and Logan Knowles, Brody Knowles-Awad, and Denny Knowles of Miramichi,NB.

He will forever live on in our hearts
