Kathie and Family: Our deepest condolences on Wayne's passing. He was a fun loving man and both of you made our trip to Hawaii very memorable. Especially swimming at Wasaga Beach (none of us noticed the shark sign!) What a good laugh Mom had. Wayne was so caring and attentive to everyone and this speaks to the true character of him. May the wonderful memories you have of Wayne console you during this difficult time. Darlene & Jamie Pilon & Lena Bobier

As seasoned travellers to Lancaster PA, we fell in love with this Amish area and especially the Sight and Sound Theatre which presents true to the Word Biblical stories on a massive live stage with dedicated performers, live music and animals, and incredible special effects. We wanted to share this opportunity with our St. Andrew’s congregation and were advised by friends that Wayne was the guide to work with! This began a very special relationship as we co-planned the trip with Wayne and Kathie’s booking capability and our knowledge of the area and local contacts. In October 2018, our church group experienced many of the highlights available. We got to see “Jesus” (the theatrical version) with Wayne at Sight and Sound! Now we know we will see Wayne with Jesus again in heaven for real.
We will also remember NFLD July 2024. We cherish the social times we have shared with Wayne, especially the phone calls which always included a fit of laughter. The long list of tributes is proof of the many lives he touched in a positive way. His courageous outlook facing medical challenges is a testimonial to his faith and a lesson for us all.
We are truly blessed to have known Wayne.
May God’s peace be with you Kathie and all your loved ones.

Kathie, and all of Wayne's Family,
I was broken-hearted to learn of Wayne's passing, and I extend my sincerest condolences to you at this sad time!
Wayne was one of a kind, and in meeting him for the first time, you were impressed with his friendliness, sincerity, sense-of-humour, and you saw him as being a guy that you would want to have as a valued friend.
I met Wayne and Kathie at Road shows, and at a conference in Jamaica, all sponsored by our mutual Travel Host Agency, The Travel Agent Next Door. (TTAND).
Wayne and Kathie were a real team at TTAND and were always together, and I hope Kathie continues on.
May you be comforted by the love and support of family and friends, and by the fond memories that I know you will have of your time with Wayne!
Don Cooper, Kingston, Ontario
PS. Kathie, I will not be able to make it to the visitation, or Wayne's memorial service because I am currently experiencing health issues.

I was thinking of Wayne last night and the legacy that he leaves. There's an old tale in folklore that if your ears are ringing, someone must be talking about you. Well, I've bore witness to many discussions about Wayne Ashby and the consensus was overwhelmingly that he was a"powerful force". Further that this was a person whose charm and integrity shone through every action and endeavor that he accomplished. I must admit that with his loss, I take great solace in the fact that I knew him and that my life is greater by that alone! Bless his memory

Dear Kathie, and all of Wayne's family,
It is seldom that one individual inspires so many loving tributes and memories, but Wayne truly was one of a kind. He had a way of making everyone feel that he was their best friend, and always had time for a visit or a call, and always with plenty of laughter. I have fond memories of working with him at BUC, and of our trips with you both in 2019, you always looked after your groups and we knew we could count on you both. We were sorry to hear of his declining health in the past year, but amazed at how he continued on in spite of that, and if there is any silver lining to losing him, it's knowing that he is now free from pain, and no doubt entertaining the winged masses on the other side.
It was a blessing to have known such a special fellow, and though he is gone far too soon, there will be smiles when we remember one or another of his quips or jokes.
Sending condolences on this sad loss, along with hugs and prayers that you will find some peace and comfort as time passes.

Kathie, Trevor and Megan and family my heart broke when I heard the news of Wayne's passing. Another empty space at our church and all our functions, I will never travel again without thinking of Wayne and his jokes and how he put everyone at ease. No one can fill his shoes, they are just too big and he will ever be remembered as larger than life. It is a testament as to how he fought to live and never gave up, going out on his terms. He is safe now, free of pain and he will be one more angel around the throne tonight. Kathie he knew his steps were growing' wearier each day and he'll be waiting on the far side banks of Jordan
he'll be sitting drawing pictures in the sand And when he sees you coming, he will rise up with a shout and come running through the shallow waters, reaching for your hand. May God hold you for now.
