Obituary of Joyce Elaine Muldrew

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Joyce Elaine Muldrew of Perth Ontario on May 20, 2025 at the age of 97.  Born to Gladys and Bernard Linley in London, Ontario, on March 8, 1928, Joyce lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to her family and community.

Joyce grew up alongside her sister Lois and brother Al, who both predeceased her.

Joyce was married to her beloved husband, Roy for 54 years until his passing in 2005 at the age of 77. Together, they enjoyed golf, boating, traveling, winters in Florida and socializing with many dear friends. Joyce supported Roy during his career in politics and worked beside him in the family insurance brokerage which they started together in 1972. 

Joyce's legacy lives on through her beloved daughters, Barbara Hartwell (late Bob Hartwell), Sharon Moore (Bill), and Joanne Tilston (Steve), grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Christopher Moore(wife Apple) and great-granddaughter Delaney; Shannon Tilston( husband Matt McMillan) and great-granddaughters Ada and Lily; Leslie DeVuono (husband Chris) and great-grandsons Rocco, Cypress, and Azzurri; Matthew Tilston and great-grandchildren Mia and Jacob.  She is predeceased by her granddaughter Meaghan Kerr (husband Dallas) and great-grandsons Remy and Otis.

Joyce devoted her life to her family and loved each one equally.  Her wish to end her final days peacefully, by the lake in Rideau Ferry, with her 3 daughters by her side came true.

Joyce was grateful for the friendship she shared with Babs, Mary and Alex at Carolina Retirement Residence.  We also wish to thank the caregivers and nursing staff who cared and supported her during her end of life.

Joyce’s immediate family will hold a private gathering to celebrate her life and cherish the legacy of love and memories she leaves behind.
