Crozier, Mary Rebecca (Popplewell)
September 2, 1923 – May 26, 2025
Mary passed away in Perth at 101 years young on Monday May 26th, 2025. Predeceased by her husband of fifty-six years, Hillis Crozier in 2003. From farming to cooking to babysitting, Mary had a full life. Having grown up on a farm, when she married Hillis, the transition to farm life was easy where her and Hillis raised four daughters. She was predeceased by her sister Jean (late Harris) Garrett, and sister Ethel (late Melvin) Armstrong, brother-in-law Vern (late Millie) Crozier and sister-in-law Lois (late Dan) Powers.
Mary is lovingly remembered by her daughters Vallery Crozier, Shirley (late Jerry) Clement, Norma Crozier, and Betty (Brian/Herb) Roberts, her grandchildren Brandon and Ryan Clement, Alexander and Adam (Sarah) Roberts, and her great grandchildren Carson and Husdon Roberts, and her nieces and nephews. Mary was known for her cooking and always had chocolate chip cookies ready for the grandchildren. Butter tarts and butterscotch pie were her specialty. When not working on the farm, she also worked at Nordlaw Lodge, Leach’s Restaurant and then Camp O’Conto before retiring with Hillis to Perth in 1988.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth. A service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. in the Blair & Son Chapel followed by interment at Elmwood Cemetery and a reception in the Blair & Son Family Reception Centre.
We would like to thank all the Doctors who treated Mom over the years, along with the compassionate and caring staff at PCCC who kept her safe during Covid. Mom appreciated and felt the kindness of the staff at PCCC. In lieu of flowers, Mary’s wish was memorial donations to be made to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation – Perth Site.
