Obituary of Laurette Cecile McNeill

Laurette McNeill, a cherished wife, mother, and Nana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, at the age of 76. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Jim McNeill; her children, Cory (Genny) and Shannon (Joey); and her beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Phoenix, Savanah, Alexa, Livia, and Summer.

Laurette was a devoted mother and Nana who always put her family first. She found her greatest joy in time spent together on the Big Rideau Lake, where countless memories were made. An avid gardener and talented crafter, she also loved wintering in the sunny south, embracing life with warmth and creativity.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A private celebration of life will be held for close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in Laurette’s memory may be made to the Ottawa Heart Institute. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
