My wife Gail and I were saddened to hear of Bryant's passing. He and I had a long history together through public and high school, summer jobs digging fence post holes for the Lanark County road building crew and all the crazy things two teenagers could get into just having fun. I recall Bryant had a need for speed and one one occasion returning to Toronto at night, on his Norton Atlas motor cycle had a racoon run in front of him which sent him over the handle bars and a car roof with only a broken foot to show for his adventure. He always loved fast cars and bikes.
We headed in different directions of the country with our educational aspirations for a few years but got back together long enough for him to be best man at my wedding. Bryant was very bright but with modesty. There is an old saying that don't put off till tomorrow what you should do today which in my case refers to not keeping in touch with my good friend over the past years. I was very happy for him when hearing that he and Marilyn were together.
My condolences to you Marilyn, your families, Catherine and Butch.
