Thinking of Sylvie, Yvonne and their families today as I reflect on my relationship with Terence. I met him briefly when I was 13 and had my 1st visit to his house when I started dating his brother, Earl. We weren't yet there 5 minutes and Earl was putting the run on him full tilt across the yard!
I remember his shiny blonde hair, green eyes, and a sense of humor. He had the ability to laugh at his own foibles, rarely took sh*t from anyone and spoke his mind. What I remember most is Terence's tinkering in the yard. He could be counted on to keep a snowmobile running and loved nothing more than to putt putt around the yard with the little ones in tow. His kids, your kids, the neighbors kids ... he had a generous heart and gave what he was able to give ... he had so many attributes to admire!
And Terence never had a harsh word towards me that I can remember and always asked me "how's Lisa today" and very few people ask me that and are sincere when they ask. He really wanted to know. He just had that heart.
I know I will see him again when I too cross over ...maybe then we can become better friends and I can remind him how much he is loved ... rest in peace Terence
