For years we watched Roy cut, rake and bale our hay. He was so at home on a tractor. He moved in out of rows with such ease and efficiency. His work was always done with precision and on time. On one occasion after Roy baled our hay, it rained for about four or five days straight preventing us from putting the hay in the barn where it would be dry. Roy felt bad about what happened to our hay and soon after showed up at our place with a fresh, dry load of hay for us to put in our barn at no charge. He didn't have to do that but he did. Our family will always have a great deal of respect, and gratitude towards Roy. My condolences to his family.

Condolences to the family of Roy's. We enjoyed being around Roy at the many euchre parties in Bolingbrook, Maberly and Sharbot Lake and others. We will miss Roy and his quiet charm. May his gentle life lessons live on in his memory.

Roy was my bus driver who transported kids from Stanleyville , black lake and Cedar bridge schools to St Ed’s in Westport back in the 60’s. He drove the bus for Eddy Bennett. Very easy going kind man. My condolences

Carl, Marg and to Roy's girls and grandchildren it is with a heavy heart I hear this news. My God surround you with his love at this time. Roy was a great supporter of Maberly Fair and loved his euchre games. He was also a great baker. Roy always had a smile for me and I shall miss him as will all our Fair board members. We surely thank God for Roy's life and are so sorry we are unable to attend the funeral celebrations. We have many fond memories of Roy and Doreen at Maberly and Sharbot Lake United Churches and thank God for Roy's life.
