Obituary of Larry Sydney Lavier

Passed away unexpectedly at the Smiths Falls Hospital on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the age of 85. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Noreen (nee Jackson).  Loving and devoted father of Jamie (Lesa), and Jock Lavier.  He was sadly predeceased by his son David and his daughter Barb.  Larry was the proud "Pops" of Curtis (Emily), Hayley (Matt), Brittany, Chase, Chelsea, Kayley, Dusty (Robby-Lynn), Denver (Charla), Madison (Jess), Carson (Cassie), Macey (Taylor), and Kiara.  He was a cherished "Great Pops" of Deakin, Declyn, Layla, Max, Brantley, Vivianne, Bentlee, Cannon, Braxton, Elsie, Crue, Eleta, Willa, and Nori. He will be sadly missed by his brother Carl (Cari) Lavier and is also predeceased by his infant brother Wayne, and his other brother Elmer (Nancy) Lavier.  Larry will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Valery (Gary) Kay and Eva Jackson, along with his many nieces, nephews, extended family and his many friends. His family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and the medical teams for their outstanding care for Larry in his last days.  There will be a service to celebrate his wonderful life at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11 a.m. Private Interment will take place at a later date.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund.
