Hi Kath, Derek, Laura and Mark.
I want to share my fondest memories of Aunt Nancy.
We called her Baby Mother. She was good to us.
I remember when we had the fish pond at the lake. We kids would walk around it and of course the parents would be hollering for us to get down or we would fall in. Of course I did. I was a wee thing. Soaked to the bone and shivering she took me to the brown cabin and dried me up as I shivered with my teeth chattering. She was a comfort.
As we grew. she always had us for a week or two in the summer. We would make home made fries and fudge. Drive around and hit the 5 and dime. We fell in love with you kids and would spend our vacations colouring, and playing games, teaching you to talk and walk and fish.
I guess on some level we wanted to be baby mother to you kids as she was to us. So it is with my whole heart that I send all my love to you all as you navigate the next few weeks.
