Obituary of Sharon Ruth Gabie

On Monday, June 23rd, 2025, Sharon Ruth Gabie passed away peacefully at her home in Perth, Ontario, surrounded by the comfort of familiar surroundings. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Sharon spent most of her life in the city before settling in Perth, where she made her home for the past 30 years. Sharon was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bill Sharpe (2023), with whom she shared a deep, enduring love marked by laughter, companionship, and mutual respect. Together, they built a life full of cherished memories. Sharon spent her days thoughtfully crafting beautiful, crocheted pieces, each one a heartfelt gift lovingly shared with those closest to her.
She is survived by her daughter, Holly Warner, and her grandchildren, Ireland and Sydnee.  She is also survived by her brothers, Glenn (Mary) of Almonte, Ontario, and Shane (Mary) of Downingtown, Pennsylvania. Sharon will be missed by her nieces and nephews: Shawn Gabie (Michelle), Shannon Dutka, Lauren Gabie, and Logan Gabie. Sharon's warmth and sense of humor will be remembered by her friends and family.
