In OAC physics, we were totally lost and didn’t put in the work. Don let us come early on test mornings to help us understand the concepts, he made sure we passed. So grateful for the care and support he gave us as students, and for the visits over the years to see your yard farm grow. Big hugs,he was truly wonderful.

So very sorry to hear of Don’s passing. Ian and I have often thought back on the times we babysat at your farm and mostly Ian’s memories of running into school to Don’s class – straight from the farm in his work clothes and work boots only to finish class and run back to the tractor. Don always understood that the farm work was his priority, and you had to make hay while the sun was shining!
You are all in our thoughts.

A lover of fine scotch, generously shared with his friends.
He was deeply devoted to his family, a loving husband and proud grandfather. He would do anything for his friends.

I was in many of Mr. Grant’s classes throughout high school in the late 90s. I learned after the first, his classroom was the right place to be. He was a great educator but more than that, I remember him bringing so much enthusiasm and humour to each day. He even offered encouragement to students promising a flight at the end of the year for the students with the top 3 marks. I worked hard and was lucky enough to earn a spot. When another student couldn’t attend on the day, Don extended the invite to my Dad as well. It was more than memorable. I wasn’t nervous for a moment- I knew we were in good hands with him at the helm.
Sending my sincere condolences to Ivy, the entire family and all close friends. Don will be missed by so many.
