Obituary of Helen Anrep

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Helen Marie Anrep (née Jacobs) at her home on July 12, 2025, at the age of 83.

Helen was the beloved wife and soulmate of Frank Anrep. Together, they shared a life full of adventure and joy, traveling countless miles on their motorcycles and embracing each day with a sense of fun, freedom, and deep companionship.

A devoted and loving mother, Helen leaves behind her four children: Kira McNeely (Dan Jesty), Atheen Pozgaj (Stan Pozgaj), Kurt Anrep (Lauren Duda), and Aaron Anrep. Her children were the heart of her world, and she devoted herself to their happiness and well-being with unconditional love and care.

She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Evan McNeely, Rachel Averns, Paige Beaulac, Delia Margiotta, Carmen Anrep, and Chloe Anrep — and a delighted great-grandmother to William Averns, who brought her much joy.

Helen will be remembered for her vivacious spirit and boundless zest for life. Whether she was in her garden, enjoying a round of golf, or embracing the peace of retired life in Bancroft and, more recently, Westport, she brought warmth and joy to every moment. She met life’s challenges, including Alzheimer’s and a recent battle with lung cancer, with strength, grace, and courage.

Her legacy is one of deep love, fierce devotion to family, and a life well-lived. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Helen’s life at a future date.
