
Obituary of Ace Halladay
Halladay, Thomas Asahel “Ace”
Retired Chief of Police, Town of Perth, 1971 – 2000.
Ace passed away in hospital in Ottawa on Saturday July 12th, 2025 at the age of 89 years. He was the cherished husband of Dale (Carson) Halladay, brother of Winnifred Halladay and the late Edmund Halladay, brother-in-law of Audrey Halladay and loved uncle to his nieces and nephews. He is survived by daughters Kim and Brooke and son Kirk Halladay and was predeceased by daughter Colleen Halladay. Ace will be fondly remembered by all his friends and former colleagues in police service.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Lanark County Paramedics, Perth and Ottawa Hospital teams, family and friends for providing exceptional medical care, comfort and support during Ace’s final days.
Family and friends will gather at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth at 1:00 P.M on Tuesday July 29th, 2025 for a service to honour his life. A reception and sharing of memories will follow until 3:30PM in the Blair & Son Family Centre. Memorial donations to the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital (Perth site), The Ottawa Heart Institute or the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
