Peacefully at the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, Kathy passed away at the age of 75. She will be lovingly remembered by her son John, her sister Cindy (Bob Closs) and by her nephews Danny and Kevin Closs. She was the dear friend and neighbour of Jean Ramsden, and the cherished “mom” of John’s good friends; Dave Brydges and Craig Drew (Natasha Guidon). Kathy was predeceased by her parents Mavis and Clifford Brethour, and by her brother Clifford. She will be fondly remembered by many extended family, friends and neighbours.
The family wish to thank Dr. Myers of Carleton Place and retired Dr. Roger Drake for all their care, compassion and support.
There will be no services at this time. In honour of Kathy, memorial contributions to L.A.W.S would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth.
