It is with heavy hearts that the family of Christopher Riopelle announces his passing on July 27th, 2025.
Chris was the beloved son of the late Floyd and Marilyn (Smith) Riopelle. He leaves behind his loving sister Angie Riopelle, and his brother Michael Riopelle (Lindsay). He was the proud father of Britney Riopelle (Ryan Beutel), Corey Riopelle, and Kaitlyn Granger. Chris cherished every moment spent with his children and was deeply proud of them. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Camden, Adelaide, Katerina, and Carson. He was a dear friend to Janinne Wark. Chris also shared a special bond with his cousins Rick and Randy Riopelle, who he always considered his brothers. His loyal canine companion, Spirit, was never far from his side. Chris will be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
Chris had a true passion for the outdoors, spending countless hours hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature. He also found peace in reading, and joy in being surrounded by family and friends, which he valued above all else. He will be greatly missed by his hunting camp family, with whom he was always ready for a chat, a laugh, and never without a cheeky remark. Strong-willed and full of personality, Chris had a way of poking fun at those he loved but heaven help the person who touched his hat. He will be remembered as a man who never met a stranger.
Chris will be remembered for his outgoing nature, his heart of gold, and a soul full of kindness. His presence brought warmth and humour to every room, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
At the family's request, cremation has taken place. In memory of Chris, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Blair and Son Funeral Home, Perth.
