Obituary of Allan Jeffrey Moncrieff

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Allan Jeffrey Moncrieff, born in August 1949, son of the late Bertha and Robin Moncrieff. Allan was predeceased by his seven brothers and sisters.

He was previously married to Suzanne Lalonde (1969) and was a loving  father and grandfather to Jeffrey Moncrieff and Mia Moncrieff. 

Allan dedicated 27 years of his career to Bell Canada and later spent 20 years working at the Perth Golf Course, where his steady presence and work ethic were deeply valued.

For the past 24 years, Allan shared his life with his forever soulmate and adoring partner, Janie, with whom he built a home filled with love, laughter and countless cherished memories. He was her “rock” and she was undoubtedly his “gem”. Allen’s beautiful eyes always lit up whenever he spoke of his Janie.

Known as the “Dr. Doolittle” of the household, Allan’s gentle heart extended to the many fur babies who adored him throughout his life, including his beloved companions Boo, Little (big) Bear, and the newly named Huggable Hank.

Despite his tall stature and strong presence, Allan is remembered most as a kind and gentle soul. A talented handyman, he took great pride in maintaining their historical riverside home, always tending to it with care.

Allan loved the simple joys of life, especially the freedom of riding his motorcycle, with the wind on his face and the open road ahead. May he continue to feel that same cool breeze as he waits patiently for a reunion with those he loved.

Allan will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
