Obituary of Tony Irvin
FRANCIS ANTHONY (TONY) IRVIN
June 29, 1950 – August 22, 2025
Francis Anthony (Tony) Irvin, 75, was called home to meet his Lord and Saviour on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Kingston General Hospital. He will be greatly missed by his cherished wife of 20 years, Joyce (nee Myers). He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Francisa Irvin and his brother, John. Survived by his brother Michael (Margo), sister-in-law, Fran Cole. He will be remembered by his nieces Catharina and Dana (Tim), his nephew, Brendan, and their families. Also fondly remembered by his sibling in-laws, Donna (the late Gerald) Myers, Jack and Sandra, and Earl.
Tony was a long distance heavy equipment hauler and during his career traveled through 10 Canadian provinces and 48 American states. Tony loved his work and could tell you about every load he hauled. He enjoyed relating stories of his trips. Joyce was always happy when she heard the jake brake as he came into Balderson, knowing that he was home.
Friends and family are warmly welcome to visit at Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth on Friday, August 29th, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be conducted in the Blair & Son Chapel on Saturday, August 30th, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. followed by a reception. Interment will take place at Prestonvale Cemetery. In honour of Tony, memorial contributions to Prestonvale Cemetery would be greatly appreciated.
