Obituary of Paul Douglas Swerbrick

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Paul at the Smiths Falls Hosptial on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the age of 89. Paul was the beloved husband of Pat Swerbrick (nee Smith), recently celebrating 70 years of marriage. Proud  father to daughters Leslie (Don Robilliard), Cathy (Mike St. Jean) and Vicky. Predeceased by son Michael. Beloved grandfather to Ryan (Lyndsay),Corey (Jaime), Adam, Melanie (Justin), Andrea (Kevin) and Paul (Trista). 
Great grandfather (a.k.a. Pop/Popster) to Sophie, Drew, Eva Grace, Everest, Hallee and Joshua. Paul was predeceased by his parents Ford and Mabel (nee Howes) Swerbrick and sisters Lillian and Eleanor. Paul moved to Smiths Falls in 1966 and opened his business Paul’s Pump Service. Paul became a well respected businessman by the community he served.  Paul hung his “Closed for Business” sign and retired in 2022 at the age of 86. Paul’s great passion was watching his great grandchildren play hockey and was known as Pop to all hockey players and families alike. At Paul’s request, there will be a private service for the family.
