Obituary of Joy Price
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joy Price (Bamford) in her 92nd year.
She is survived by her three daughters, Cathy, Heather (Paul), Carol (Randy), her two grandsons, Logan and Zane (Amy, Finn), and one of her devoted friends, Kveta. Joy is predeceased by her husband, Vincent Price (1982) and her son, Gary (2022). She also lost her long-time companion, John Young, in 2023. She is also leaving behind her two brothers, James Bamford (Cheryl) and Anthony Bamford (Marjorie) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Joy lived a very full life, enjoying many interests including square dancing, camping, swimming, bridge and walking, to name a few. She made new friends wherever she went. She took care of everyone she knew, and we were so blessed to have her for so many years.
We’d like to thank the many hands who took care of her in the last few months of her life at Perth Community Care Centre. Alzheimer’s is a difficult disease, but we are so grateful that she did not have to suffer for a long time with it. Joy is now in the hands of her loving God. Until we meet again.
Friends are invited to join Joy’s family for an informal celebration of her life at the Perth Legion, 26 Beckwith St E, Perth, on Monday September 22nd from 1-3PM. For those wishing, memorial donations can be made to the The Table Community Food Centre, or to LAWS – she sure did love those cats!
