Obituary of Charles Robert Begley

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family  on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the age of 87.  Bob was the beloved husband of the late Betty Begley (nee Purcell).  Loving father of the late Douglas (Sherry) Begley, and of Donnalyn (John) Murphy, Darlene Begley, Fred (Alison) Begley and Bobbi (Chris) Bell.  Cherished grandfather of Robbie, Kendra (Allan), Sam, Ellie, Halle, Luke, Ryan, Ashlyn and Mason.  Great grandfather to Alora and Stanley White.  Bob was also predeceased by his parents Frederick and Thelma (nee Leishman). He will be fondly remembered by his many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Bob's family would like to thank the many caregivers and medical staff that provided care to Bob in his final days, and for those that came by for numerous visits, and offering their well wishes. Friends may pay their respects at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on September 7th from 1 to 3.  A service to celebrate his wonderful life will take place in the Chapel on Sept 8th at 11 a.m.  Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Mel's Animal Sanctuary or Duncan J Schoular Breakfast Program.
