It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie King in her 95th year. She passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5th, 2025 at the Perth Site of the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Cecil King. And was the dedicated loving mom of the late Curt (Celine), Connie (the late Andy) Emon, Clint (Laurie), Barry (Bonnie) and Susan (Chris) Whyte and her honorary son; Phil Edwards. She was the proud Grandma of Chrisitina & Catelina, Allison (Travis), Lesley (Shawn) & Becky (Moose), Danny (Lianne), Randy (Nicole) & Ryan (Kailyn), Jeremy (Susan), and Nathan (Rebecca), Taylor & Kelsey (Ben) and 14 great-grandchildren and a 15th expected this fall. Marjorie had also embraced, with pride, the title of "Grandma King" to Colleen and Kevin Bridgen and their family.
Marjorie was born in Hopetown, Ontario where she lived until she married the love of her life and moved to the King Farm on the Clyde River, where they raised their family. She loved her home and watching the family grow with each new baby that had their feet dipped in the Clyde for the first time. A life well lived and loved.
