Obituary of Graeme Douglas Wall

It is with heavy hearts, that the family announces the sudden passing of Graeme. The beloved husband of Danielle Wall (nee Demers) of 46 years. The loving father of Trudy (John Moloughney), Sheena (Evan Jasiura), Michael, and the loving grandfather to Brittany (Nicholas Robertson), Kenneth, Torrance and great grandfather to Wesley and Astrid. Graeme will be missed by his surviving siblings, Ernie (Linda), Heather (Roger Green), Shirley (Hugh McEwan), Judy (Ken Barr), Kevin (Elizabeth), Tracy (Anita) and Laurie (Randy McMullan) as well as his siter-in-law Michelle, brother-in-law Pierre (Lynda) and the entire King and Taylor family. Graeme leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Neville and Gwendolyn (nee Taylor).

Graeme was quite the character. He loved and lived life to the fullest! He would often repeat the phrase “it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years”. He proved this time and time again, as per family and friends can attest.

He proudly served 301/2 years supporting the clients living in Rideau Regional Centre. He enjoyed spoiling, activating, teaching, and bringing his “2nd Family” to Grippen Lake Camp every summer. Many great and funny memories were made with the staff and clients he worked with.

Everyone knows Graeme’s love for his cherished Hamilton Tiger-Cats football team. So many games, live, televised, and Grey-Cup parties, were celebrated in true “Graeme form”, dressed in full Ti-Cats gear, room decorated with Ti-Cats memorabilia, lots of food and drinks, his family and friends. He enjoyed his football gang at the games held in Ottawa. He and his buddy Gord often travelled to games at different football stadiums. His other football friends will have fond memories of these times as well.

He embraced golf with full gusto. Never thinking, as a young man, that he would ever become a member of a golf club. He joined the Lombardy Golf Club in 1980’s. Graeme took on many positions in the club associate. He became club captain and was president for 25 years. During this time, he took part in, and organized, many club championships, club events and tournaments. He participated in many golf trips with his fellow golfing friends, to Malone, Toronto, Mont Tremblant and P.E.I.

Graeme’s deepest love was for his family. He was greatly proud of each one, often citing their accolades to friends. He thoroughly enjoyed being part of their lives, was interested in their careers and hobbies. He loved our family vacations, special themed parties, and family dinners.

Graeme’s celebration of life will be held at the Perth Lions Hall 50 Arthur St. Perth, on Saturday November 1st, 2025 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. In honour of him, memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth
