Obituary of Allan Bruce Jackson

Allan son of Ewart and Ivy(Chant) passed away peacefully of his own choosing on Monday September 22 at the Smiths Falls Hospital, surrounded by family.

Allan is survived by his wife Judith(Stanton)Jackson. His children Andrew (Robin) Jackson, Perry (Sandra) Jackson, Julie (Gabe) Jordan, Marlene (Greg) Hull and his 7 grandchildren Rebecca Jackson, Melissa (Curtis)

Jackson, Dylan Jackson, Courtney Jordan, Kirkland (Julia) Jordan, Robbie Hull and Cassandra (Tanner) Koziel. 

Predeceased by his wife Helen (O’Grady) Jackson and his two granddaughters Emily Jackson and Baby Laura Jackson.

Allan was a special brother to Betty Todd (Late Gary), Arnold (Eunice) Jackson and Wayne Jackson (Late Donna), and brother-in-law to Ralph (Rosemary) O’Grady.

Predeceased by his brothers Ronald, Donald (Late Mary) and sister Rita Davis.

Stepfather to Pam Eades, Chris (Tami) Eades, step grandfather to Jacob, Parker, Connor, Jasmine and Haelli. We know that Al had a special place in his heart for Dave Matthews whom he loved like a son.

He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews who loved him so much.

Allan’s career in truck driving spanned for over 45 years. He was known to many co-workers for his amazing driving skills. One of Al’s greatest passions later in his life was gardening. This brought him many hours of pride.

The family would like to thank all the staff at the Smiths Falls Hospital for taking such good care of him during his final days your compassion and empathy were comforting for him.

Friends may pay their respects at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls Chapel on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.

A private burial will take place at a later date at St Patrick’s Cemetery in Lansdowne.
